Blueberry Season

Blueberry season is back and we have been swinging by our favorite place every chance we get. Some of us are perfecting our picking, and some of us are just starting out. When we go picking sometimes it is at the end of a busy day, sometimes in the morning. Sometimes with friends, sometimes alone. And sometimes with a ballerina and a bare chested baby. And always a romp in the sandbox at the end of the picking.

The Farm

After seeing all the baby lambs and looking for Mary in the barn we ran through the woods and muddy trails looking for sap buckets and tasting the sweet sap dripping from the taps.

Day Trip

Last week we took full advantage of the gorgeous end of summer weather. We went on a day trip with another mama and her littles. We took a ferry across the water for a picnic.


And we discovered a fabulous picnic spot for all, complete with a lovely playground.





And home again, home again, at the end of the day.

And now I have just one more excuse to visit this lovely little part of the world that we pass through regularly on our way to other places.
